Know your Numbers this February

 

Much like October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, February is all about Heart Health Month and we at Medi-Station Urgent Care love everything about it. Kicking off the 1st day of the month with Go Red for Women, our staff takes the American Heart Association’s campaign to heart (no pun intended) and go all out with their red attire.

 

We know and understand the importance of Heart health and for that reason we do our part in educating our patients and community at the best of our ability. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. Every year, 1 in 4 deaths are caused by heart disease.

 

Why are we so passionate about Heart Health? Well, for starters the numbers are alarming and in many cases it’s preventable.

 

We see it, in our own urgent care, time and time again patients coming through the door with some cardiac related condition. The good news that Heart disease can often be prevented so long  you make positive health choices and manage your health conditions accurately.

 

With the intention to keep you informed and managing your conditions accurately, we are offering our community complimentary testing – Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Blood Sugar and BMI (Body Mass Index) from February 1- 14th. This campaign aligns with that of the American Heart Association’s “Know your Numbers”, enforcing the importance of knowledge in getting accurate treatment.
